Analysis of Water Distribution in the State of San Luis Potosi, México and its Relation to the Use of Resource Through a Geospatial Modeling
Abstract
Abstract
In order to obtain a better understanding of water reservoirs in the basins of the San Luis Potosi state, Mexico, a proposal is presented that is aimed at defining a strategy of spatial distribution of the resource, so to associate the areas where it is distributed on the state surface with the use and exploitation thereof, to make more efficient planning of sustainable perspectives and resource security. To this end a methodology was used to estimate through processes and geospatial analysis (Using satellite imagery, GIS and geostatistical analysis) a number of variables and parameters allowing the conceptualization of a spatial distribution model that describes a behavior pattern of coexisting water resources in the four regions of the state, in different periods of years analyzed of the last three decades.
